Right when it came down there was a crash between Ernie Mills and the #43 car that started the whole chain reaction.

A tire came over the wall and tore this guy’s head clean off. I mean one second he was there with a NASCAR hat on and a 36 oz beer
in his hand, staring at the Hand, and the next there was just a stump. Blood and beer splattered the whole section.

I think there were 2 or 3 drivers killed right away, and a couple of fans, even before the stampede where we all tried to get out.

I am lucky to be alive except when I think about that hand I think maybe I’m just in for something worse. I think that guy had the right
